Miway request

THE tool at a glance

The research of the developmental psychologist Clare W. Graves is the basis for the development of MiWay. The following quotation of Graves illustrates the basic tenor of the procedure and simultaneously it’s main benefit: “Everyone has the right to be how he or she is. Teach people to increase the quality of their work by meeting the requirements of their mindsets, not by fitting their work into your own.”

In a two-step process the job-related values which motivate or demotivate a person are identified and prioritized. Subsequently the individual conceptions of these values are being defined. The manifestation of this specification then forms the basis for the aggregate profile of job and career related values. The results are sent automatically to the participants, coaches or HR managers after the completion of the procedure thereby providing a fast and reliable basis of information for all further processes.

MiWay is a web-based system and therefore operates independently of fixed workplaces or central computers. The execution is possible on all common devices.

SCientific Foundation

The development of the procedure MiWay is based on the research of Clare W. Graves. In his developmental theory he does not define an ideal state but rather describes the development of human beings. Graves focuses on how the values of a person fit the requirements of a specific environment in which the person is situated. His approach is a dynamic and open evolution of the frequently cited theory of the “hierarchy of needs” of Abraham Maslow. In contrast to Maslow, Graves deliberately does not define an ultimate endpoint for human development.
